Patricia Woschenko Obituary

Patricia Ann (Poisker) Woschenko,83, known fondly as Patricia to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at Steere House in Providence, Rhode Island. Born on August 9, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patricia's warmth and radiant spirit were evident from a young age.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, John Woschenko, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. She was a beloved mother to John C. Woschenko of Manchester, Connecticut, and Philip Woschenko of Charleston, South Carolina. Patricia was the dear sister of Edward Poisker and his wife Cookie of Palm Coast, Florida. She was a cherished aunt to Joey, Jean, Ed, Michelle, and Benjamin. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Hope and Owen, who were the light of her life.

For many years, Patricia dedicated herself as a secretary at Bradley Hospital and Butler Hospital, where her diligence, warmth, and professionalism made a lasting impact. Her colleagues and those she assisted will remember her as a cornerstone of efficiency and kindness within the workplace.

Patricia's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her nurturing and creative spirit. She found solace and joy in tending to her garden, where she cultivated not only plants but also a sense of tranquility and beauty that she shared with others. Her love for animals was evident through her cherished pets, who were constant companions throughout her life.

Her creativity extended beyond her garden and into her home, where she crafted a nurturing environment for her family. When her children were younger, Patricia was actively involved with the Cub Scouts, imparting values of leadership and community service to young minds. She also contributed her time and energy to the Parent-Teacher Association, demonstrating her commitment to education and the well-being of children in her community.

Patricia's kindness, generosity, and loving nature were the hallmarks of her character. She approached life with a gentle demeanor and a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. Her presence was a comfort to those around her, and the legacy of her virtues will continue to inspire her family and friends.

Patricia's life was a tapestry of love, service, and creativity, woven with the threads of devotion to her family and community. Her memory will be treasured, and her spirit will continue to guide and influence the lives she touched. Patricia's journey through life was marked by the love she gave and received, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we say goodbye to Patricia, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who embodied the best of humanity.
